Rolling Onward

A reentry-focused workforce program designed to help incarcerated men and women prepare for stable, in-demand commercial driving jobs.

Our Purpose

To provide a structured, step-by-step CDL and life skills training pathway that begins during incarceration and continues seamlessly after being released. The goal is to banish barriers to employment and increase successful reentry outcomes.

How it Works

While still inside, participants complete background screening preparation and an 8-week virtual CDL theory course, building the knowledge, confidence, and habits needed to succeed. As release approaches, the program shifts toward a reentry plan, document readiness, work expectations, and a clear transition plan.

Once participants return to the community, they move immediately into behind-the-wheel road training with a partnered provider, complete their CDL skills test, and receive support connecting to employment opportunities. The goal is simple: help men and women leave incarceration with a real career pathway that leads to self-sufficiency, stability, and long-term success.

Program Goals

1

Prepare eligible participants for CDL success through theory mastery and testing readiness.

2

Reduce delays after release by completing key “pre-work” inside.

 (Screening prep, documents,
course completion).

3

Transition participants into road training quickly upon release.

4

Support job placement and retention to promote self-sufficiency.
